Flame Run Update, March 2021
Whew! What a year! 2020 was bananas, and I’m happy to report we are all still kicking!
We made some changes around here: added a new interactive activity, transitioned our popular blow-your-own activities into design-your-own activities to keep our customers and friends as safe as possible, and changed to our new gallery schedule, Wednesdays-Saturdays.
I am now happy to report that our staff is well on their way to all being vaccinated and we are looking very hopefully toward what the rest of 2021 will bring! We are hoping to be able to return to our previous business hours soon and be able to start offering lessons for all you “Blown Away” fans soon!
In the meantime, we are honored to have been selected to create a spectacular wall installation at the gorgeous new Louisville Botanical Gardens. You can follow our progress and see those platters spin, spin, spin, on our social media. We have also added an IGTV channel with videos of your favorite artists at work.
Brook, John Stokes, and I also created a few short videos about glassblowing for our teacher friends to share with their classes. We are very thankful for all of the teachers and first responders who have helped us get through this super unusual time. Our new interactive and safely distanced activity, the Galaxy Paperweight, has been a HUGE success! If you have not had a chance to try it, give us a call at the gallery and let us schedule an appointment for you! In this experience you get to actually push, pull, and twist the glass to make your piece. The first time I touched hot glass it blew my mind. Now Flame Run has found a way to share that experience with you! Check out the “Create!” tab on our website or call the gallery to learn more.
And in our newest news……..we have partnered with our good friends at the brand new and hugely talented Thrive Floral Studio for Mothers’ Day!
This spring you can pre-order a custom vase for that special someone on our shop page, and also select a custom bouquet size that our friends at Thrive will arrange to compliment your vase!
Even better, if you live within 30 miles of Flame Run we will deliver the vase and bouquet for free! Make this Mothers’ Day special and magnificent with gorgeous flowers and a custom vase she can keep for years. We love to help create lasting memories.
I am feeling very hopeful and positive for the rest of 2021, and I am very thankful for all of my friends and family at Flame Run and beyond. Wishing health and happiness to you all.
