The creation of blown glass art is beautiful from afar, but there’s nothing quite like standing in the heat of the studio and helping to craft your own masterpiece. In an interactive experience, Flame Run offers patrons a chance to try their hands in the art of blown glass by creating a piece of their own alongside an artist.
The hardest part is choosing the project! Flame Run offers a variety ranging from ornaments and seasonal decorative objects to glasses and small bowls and vases. The creation of these projects can take anywhere from 15-45 minutes.
Once your unique piece of art is complete, it’ll need to cool overnight and be picked up the next day. Visiting from out of town? No problem. We’ll have your blown glass creation shipped to you, no matter where you are.
The creation of glass artwork is an exciting and mesmerizing process, and we want you to get the most out of every visit at Flame Run. Reservations are appreciated, but we understand that sometimes spontaneity strikes. In cases like these, our gallery is open to peruse and enjoy.

Announcing New Experience!
Galaxy Paperweights
In this activity, participants get to choose their colors, and then push, pull, and twist the glass with the assistance of a glassblower to create unique stars and craters in their one of a kind pieces.
Galaxies require 2 days to come back down to Earth temperatures, so they cannot be taken home the same day they are made. We do offer shipping worldwide if you are not local &/or not in downtown Louisville easily.
Design Your Own
Design Your Owns are almost exactly the same as the old favorite. Choose your colors and design your piece with our gallery staff, and then watch your piece come to life thanks to the talent of our glass artists.
